Founded in 1997 by cancer survivor and cyclist Lance Armstrong, the Lance Armstrong Foundation fights for the 28 million people around the world living with cancer today. Since 2004 Nike has helped the Lance Armstrong Foundation raise over $80 million in the fight against cancer. Lance Armstrong is the closest any man has ever come to superhuman. After surviving cancer, Lance went on to become the Tour de France Champion seven years in a row. This four-time Male Athlete of the Year has lived one of history’s most phenomenal stories.
Nike have used a hot knifing process to create finer, deeper siping in the outsole which has resulted in the shoe being more flexible and giving a much more responsive ride than the previous model.
The upper has also ben updated both aesthetically and technically as it now has flywire along a large part of the upper creating a more stable upper which hugs the foot beautifully to create that authentic running fit.
