Originally released in 1982, the Puma Bluebird is the latest reissue from the extensive Puma Archive. Initially intended as a lightweight running shoe, the Bluebird was soon adopted into 1980's terrace culture, particularly by Cardiff City due to their 'Bluebirds' nickname and because the distinctive blue/yellow colourway matched the club kit. A staple part of life on the terraces the shoe is now back in its original application alongside a capsule collection of matching apparel featuring the iconic bluebird logo throughout.
From the Puma Archive in 1982 the Bluebird had a steady reputation for being the best, most lightweight shoe for indoor training. This iconic legacy has been amped up with soft suede and gold foil branding – turning it into a street-ready style for a new generation. The bluebird also features a gum outsole with a unique moulded dish sole for slip resistance and stamped Puma branding on the tongue.
